Was out there this morning and now they are taking timber out with a big machine. Just wondering why they wait till hunting season to do that..

So how did you do there since 2015? That last picture you posted looked like an excellent place to set up and much better than looking at a dense brush pile. Did you see deer there later in the season?

Deer don't care about construction machinery and logging. While you wouldn't want to be hunting while they are logging a fresh cut is a good place to be when things are quiet and no one is actively working. Good for small game too.

havent got a dear during rifle season since. But most generally get something during muzzleloader. usually a smaller doe.
