Newest soon to be "Krink" SBR
I picked up an Arsenal SLR-104UR. (or the 104-53)
I've wanted an SBR krink style rifle for a while but parts kits are ridiculous and looked into the M92 PAP pistols, but I wanted to stay with the classic 5.45. So I found that Arsenal was making 5.45 AK's and id rather have a rifle than a pistol to get a stock installed. If that made sense, HAHAHA.
So im looking for the "Classic" AKS-74U look.
I replaced the factory grip with a Bakelite grip as pictured..

But interestingly the last round stove piped. Twice. I only bought 2 bags of ammo (60 rounds) It was on the first 30 rds. It stove piped then I cleared it, reloaded the one round in the mag and charged it. and it did it again. Its the mag that came with the gun a Bulgarian "Circle 10" Mag.

I'm slightly appalled at the prices of the mags, of course pro-mags are cheap but that cause they're shitty pro-mags. I'm looking at the "new made" Bulgarian poly mags which are half the price of the "Circle 10/ 21" mags, Also looking at the Tapco mags. Of course I want to get some orange Bakelite mags and a 45rd RPK74 Bakelite mag, even though they are expensive as hell.
Thanks for any feedback on the mags.Last edited by john12wa; April 3rd, 2015 at 04:35 PM.

Does the front sight block have the threads on it? So the barrel just needs cut and re-crowned? That's not a bad way to do things after the Form 1 is approved.

I have an SLR-106UR, which is basically identical except it is chambered in 5.56x45mm
It started as a rifle, which looked just like yours. I had to have the gas block pressed off, the bushing removed. The gun had weird cycling issues with the long barrel. However, once it was cut and crowned, the bushing removed, it runs like a top.
Yes, they're threaded underneath the muzzle nut.
Here's mine.
