The way I look at it is the Military has way more experts and resources to evaluate and they chose Beretta 92. Now some may say the decision was influenced by politics and yes the Military has a history of making blunders in firearm choices (single shot muzzle loaders Civil war when repeaters were available and Single shot Trap doors for troopers Custer's 7th Cavalry, not to mention all the M16s that Jammed during Vietnam). That being said really feel that those lessons have been learned so I would choose the Beretta.

I like the VP9 better than the Glock 17. I like a BHP better than both. You can pistol whip someone with a BHP

The Sig P226 is probably the only real choice at this point as it was when this thread was started.

Another VP9 enthusiast. My P229 with the 9mm top end is good too.

Glock 17 for striker fired, HK P30L for hammer fired.

    holy necro...
VP9 as well, and unlike 8 (or even 3) years ago, it now comes with 17rnd mags.
i've also got a sig320 but the vp9 feels better in the hand. same with the glocks, vp9 just has better hand feel.
There is no way to make it out alive...
