I see many "votes" for the CZ 75B. Go for it, you won't go wrong

i usually carry a shield 9mm and ive thought about a full size m&p

It sounds like all or most of your firearms may be compact to sub-compact, but for short-distance firing, the slightly smaller barrel should not make that much of a difference with practice. Having a compact gun with interchangeable magazines like a glock is a plus in my opinion. However, one can buy 9 and 10 round magazines for small guns like a kel tec or a bersa.

But hey, if you're looking to buy another one, go right ahead!
I usually have my 1911 or sr40c with 15 round mag around the house. im probably just looking for an excuse to buy another

striker or da/sa doesn't matter. I really like the vp9 in the hand but 3 negatives. 1. only holds 15 rounds when it should hold 17. 2. I wish the mag release was standard and not like a walther even though im used to it since owning a p22. 3. it reminds me of a walther and I haven't owned a centerfire walther but the p22 left a bad taste in my mouth.

im leaning towards the xdm9 full size but the vp9 really felt great in my hand and I liked the night sites

Don't hold the CZ 75....if you do, it will come home with you. And then it shoots as good as it feels.

Then I would put a M&P at the top of my list to at least check out. And if I looked at something different I'd have to really understand why I would like it more since there's already a familiarity with the ergos and trigger from the Shield.

There's a few variants out there for the full size now, I think the CORE model (too lazy to check) is pre set up for a Trijicon RMR site. That would definitely make for a fun range/HD gun.
