Gander chambersburg. Look, but don't buy.

Went into gander this morning to have a look around. Not that i'm surprised, but how do they sell anything? First off, a box of 9mm blazer brass 115gr.... $16.99! For crying out loud, I can buy it for $12.99 a box just about anywhere. Then I walked over to the AR rack. They have a Ruger SR 762 nice rifle. Gander price $2099.00! That's rediculous, I've found the same rifle for $1599. People, go to gander to look, save your money and buy elsewhere.

Yeah if you want to see one before you buy it, go to Gander or Cabela's to see it. Then have your local guy order it for you. Unless he gives the good old "ah well those are hard to get(Ruger SR762) but this is kinda the same(DPMS AR-10)", in which case you need a new local guy.

I had my first look at a Gander when I was in Indiana for work a few weeks ago. It was about 6pm and I was one of two customers in the whole place and the only one looking at guns. Everything priced at msrp. Guess they catch a few morons once in a while.

As a Cburg local I stop in and handle stuff but yeah the gun prices are really high...I might buy something (targets or chamber brush or something) once every 15-20 visits but wonder how they stay in business..mostly stop in and fondle the goodies...

The Gander Mountain in Dickson City has outrageous prices. Their shelves are stocked to the brim with ammo in just about every flavor and I couldn't understand why until my last visit. Federal Gold Medal Match in .308, 168 grain...

I'm not even joking, and yes that is for a box of 20. I will snap a pic next time I'm there. That's twice the pice that I pay buying it online.
