    Default Lawyers for LTCF

Can anyone recommend a good lawyer in Philadelphia that I can use to get my LTCF back. Long story, short, I had one 5-6 years ago. I own a business and was robbed at gun point, which led to a shoutout and the perpatrator later died of gun shot wounds. I was cleared of any wrong doing and the shooting was determined to be justified on my end. I went to renew and went thru the propety procedure and they rejected me on the basis of my shooting. They said the shooting shows me as an "aggressive" person and "hot headed". At the time I felt like shit over the loss of a life and did not fight it. Now, with crime being so high in the city, I want to try to get my license back. Can anyone point me in the right direction ? I know I can appeal it but thought getting a lawyer would speed things up and a lawyer would know all the legal angles I could take along with my rights as an American citizen.

Sounds like you were screwed by the system that depends upon uninformed people to make informed judgements. I do not know Phil Kline, but having read his posts here I think he ought to be your attorney.

For a case like this, I'd recommend Jon as well.

But first, since it's been a couple of years since the revocation, I'd just apply for a new LTCF. Ignore the previous revocation (unless asked, in which case, tell the truth, that it was revoked for having a telescopic sight stolen.)

If it's issued, great. If not, the denial starts a new 30-day appeal window, and I'd quickly hire Jon to handle the appeal to L&I (Philly set up its appeals via Licensing and Inspections instead of the Court of Common Pleas, which is weird, but then again, the PPD is the issuing authority in the unified city/county of Philadelphia instead of the Sheriff, as it is in every other county.)

    Jon's office number is: (215) 324-0603

Yeah if you have not reapplied in a while I would apply again, and have your lawyer ready to go.
