This was in FOX NEWS this morning.....

NRA steps up push for Sunday hunting

Wednesday night, Rep. Bob Goodlatte, the Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, stepped in with a critical letter to the bureau demanding it explain the surprise and abrupt bullet ban.

The National Rifle Association, which is working with Goodlatte to gather co-signers, said that 30 House members have already co-signed the letter and Goodlatte and the NRA are hoping to get a total of 100 fast.

I'm not a hunter or particularly anti-religious, but I'd really like to know how in the dickens
a ban on Sunday hunting is not a State imposed implementation of a religious belief which
would seem to be some sort of Constitutional issue.

Actually, this would probably apply to a Sunday ban on anything that's allowed the rest of the week.

I definitely missed something here...

The biggest part of it is getting more youth and other new people involved who are currently excluded by prevalence of organized youth sports on Saturday. That's the real reason anti gun/anti hunting grinches have found it worth their while to stand in the way.

YES! No Sunday Hunting FOR ALL SPECIES PEOPLE WANT TO HUNT is absurd. Feel free to personally choose to not hunt Sundays if your religion insists, but stop forcing the rest of us to do the same.

Perhaps, but I really think a bunch of people stuck in their ways are at the root of maintaining the ban here in PA. Cutting off their nose to spite their face in terms of your point above.
