Millvale Sportman's Club Membership
Hi, I am a resident of North Pittsburgh and I am looking for someone who is a member of Millvale Sportsman's Club. I am an avid fisherman, archery and pistol target shooter. I would love to be able to join, but don't know any members. If you wouldn't mind sponsoring me send me a message!
Thanks

Re: Millvale Sportman's Club Membership
I believe there is a long waiting list. Stop at big buck sports shop and ask there. Most of the older guys there are members.

Re: Millvale Sportman's Club Membership
Last summer they did away with the membership waiting list. They're doing a first-come-first-serve process now on "opening day" of membership. See https://sites.google.com/site/mscigen2/member-services for the details.

I can sponsor you...as long as you aren't a complete lunatic. I can take you up there one day and we can put some holes in paper on the pistol range and show you around. No clue as to the waiting list being abolished, I have been a member up there for years

Re: Millvale Sportman's Club Membership
The club got rid of the wait list because it was just too messy. My understanding was that people would get wait-listed then when spots opened and the club sent out the acceptance/orientation invites only a fraction of people would show up, they'd send another block out, lather, rinse, repeat. The waiting list was cleared somewhere around July/August IIRC due to all the churn and they abolished it in favor of first-come/first-serve I posed earlier.

Re: Millvale Sportman's Club Membership
My brother is a member there. He said they opened up for new members with a sponsor a few Saturdays back. Sign-up was at 9am and people started lining up at 6. Long story short, they filled up all their open spots that morning.
