Default Positive LE Experience in Wheeling, WV

Wife and I was heading to the post office to drop off a gun for a customer after a quick stop at Walmart in Highlands near Wheeling, WV. I was running a little late for a Dr appointment so was driving 45 in a 35 zone. WV State cop pulled us over as we were getting on the highway. After standard Q&A with license and registration, he noticed the box of 5.7×28mm in the cup holder.

LEO: Do you have any firearms in your car?

    Me: Yes

LEO: Do you have a CC

    Me: Yes

LEO: Can I see your CC license?

    Me: Sure

LEO: If you don't mind me asking, what are you carrying?

Me: Ruger LCP in my pocket and a Glock 22 under the dash.
    Wife: and I have a Glock 42

LEO: *Laughing* I carry a Ruger LCR 357 for my 2nd gun. What do you think of the Glock 42.... 15 minutes later. ...Okay folks, have a safe day.

    No ticket, just verbal warning.

Nice. Sounds like every one of my York County encounters except in over 6 years I've never even been asked for my LTCF. I should add that all my encounters have been OC and not in a vehicle, so there's that.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

I bet he taps on random car windows in known drug areas too, and tells people to have a nice day upon ascertaining nothing hinky is going on. Probably never heard of the Constitution, either.

    Great post! Thanks for sharing!
