PMSC rules question.
I'm reading the member handbook to try to get clarification, but it still isn't that clear.
http://www.pmsconline.com/pmsc/files...20HANDBOOK.pdf
Can you fire pistol caliber carbines at the indoor range? The rules clearly say no rifles, but a pistol caliber carbine isn't exactly a rifle, and if it's 9mm, it's one of the allowed rounds.
Does any longer standing members have any insight?
Thanks

Re: PMSC rules question.
I'm the opposite of a long standing member. In fact I just took my new member and indoor range orientation on Wednesday. But during the indoor range orientation, I was told that pistol caliber carbines are OK. In addition, the physical paper handbook I was given (dated February 2014), Rule #8 for the indoor pistol range states ".22 rim-fire and pistol caliber rifles are permitted in this range"
Hope to see you around (and at the next PAFOA group shoot)!
Edit: Huh... that PDF is dated February 2014 as well?

Re: PMSC rules question.
Pistol caliber carbines are allowed, as long as the velocity remains under 1800 fps and no bi-core ammunition.

Re: PMSC rules question.
During the winter month's a few of us get together most Sunday mornings and shoot .22 rifles on the indoor range. Even though I know it's permitted to shoot pistol caliber rifles, I have yet to see something bigger than .22

Re: PMSC rules question.
I figured I would ask in the post since it is regarding rules.
My name is Cory and I have been in Pittsburgh for 2 years almost now and have been actively looking for some like minded people to hangout with and enjoy my hobbies with. PMSC looks like it would fit the bill amazingly.
Working and living in the heart of Pittsburgh I don't know to many people that like to hunt nor shoot at the range.
My question is I been with my girlfriend for a long while and in the future look to marry her. So at the moment she is not my spouse but i want to include her in my activities and she would like to come to the range. Is there a work around for girlfriends? The only time she would ever go on site is with me. I would hope this would not stop me from trying to join because it seems like this is an awesome group of people from what I can read here that are apart of the club.
Also is it still OK if I show up without a sponsor? I've read that in a few post as well. Just need to save some more money as its been tight the last few months.
Thanks for the replys
