Night Sites for Ruger LCP (little cute pistol )
Hey everybody,
I've been thinking of a LCP, I've had no luck with finding a set of night sites for this carry gun. An help on this would be a good thing.
Thanks so much for any help.

Try;
http://nitesiters.com/
They are not Tritium! They need to be charged by a flash of light or set out during the day to soak up the sun.
It has been my experience that with an hour of sunlight they are good for about 5 hours maybe a little longer. But with just a flash from my surefire they are good for 2.
Good luck and welcome to the PAFOA

Well, since this gun has the sights built into the slide, that would require a lot of work and money. Most pocket pistols have very small or no sights. Point shooting is a good skill to have anyway, so why not start now! Seriously...
You can never have enough horsepower or ammunition.

That's because the LCP has integral sights. You'd have to do some machining to install other sights. I'm currently looking at these www.naaminis.com/pug.html (they're from XS sights) and trying to figure out if I can make them work for my KT P3AT. The only potential problem I see is that the top of the slide in the area of the front sight is very thin. Maybe too thin to support a dovetail. I don't know if the LCP slide is thicker in this area. I suspect that it isn't since the LCP looks like a P3AT clone.
Your only other option(AFAIK) would be glow-in the-dark paint on the LCP sights.
ETA: XS Sights does not list them for sale on their website so I'm not sure If I'll even be able to acquire a set. I have to contact XS and NAA.Last edited by unloved; July 11th, 2008 at 02:17 PM.

Re: Night Sites for Ruger LCP (little cute pistol )
i have nitesiters on my P3AT, which is the real version of the LCP, anyway. they're a pain in the ass to apply, and mine didn't stay on very well; i had to use superglue. i also put them on my S&W sigma, and on the frontsight of my Mossberg 500; they stuck fine on them. my opinion, night sights are wasted on pocketguns like the LCP; they're really meant for point shooting at extremely close distances, and at those ranges, light shouldn't be an issue.
