Broken Deal
Here is my question, I had set up a trade with a person of this forum to trade my Para Ordinance LTC for his Yugo AK. Now 17 hours before the deal is supposed to go down he backs out. I made it very clear that this is exactly what I wanted, and that are deal is set in stone. To the point I even bought good match grade ammo to break in the bore. I am pissed do I have a right to be, we did agree this to be set in stone. I am crushed all I have been thinking baout for this past week was the damn Ak. Oh well.

Okay, he had second thoughts. Happens a lot. More that one bride and/or groom has said, "No thanks" when they got to the altar. All you can do is file it away under "Oh well" and keep moving forward. Maybe a better deal will pop up somewhere.

Re: Broken Deal
Absolutely, I would be.
That said, it's not like you were dealing with a store and paid for your item. Private transactions can go south. Chalk it up to a life lesson learned and let it go. What's the old saying? Don't count your chickens before they are hatched .....

Re: Broken Deal
Well, it kind of sucks...but anyone can have second thoughts.
The only way a deal is a deal is when there is a a deposit made on the sale item.
It's nice to think a man's word is bond...but it isn't.
Hell, he had no assurance you'd have shown up for the trade either, did he?

Re: Broken Deal
Don't go sour on everyone because of one bad experience. I have no analytical data to prove it, but I think most deals made between PAFOA forums members turn out OK.
I may get burned here and there, but I'd rather go through life trusting everyone until given a reason not to, rather than not trusting anyone until given a reason to.
Accept that you're a better man than he and move on.You are a straight white man. You don't get to be the victim, sweetie.
