Bought a Vortex 1-8x the other night and wanted to chat about it. A search led me to this thread…

It wasn’t a gen2 Razor HD, sadly.. cheap Strike Eagle.

UPS tracker says it’s arriving tomorrow, so I’ll hopefully get out to zero it Friday.

I got an Aero Precision mount for it that I’ll rattle can tonight to get my vibes aligned. (Will share pics when finished.. going for a peanut butter + ODG vibe on a BCM with Geisselle Mk16 rail)

I’d never really had LPVOs on ARs before, but used a few at the 412 Range Day expo last Friday. I was impressed with the expensive ones like the Razor and ATACR, of course… but, I used a Strike Eagle 1-6x on a borrowed AR and was easily hitting steel gongs out to 500ish while not really taking my time.

I'm a fan of the aero mount. Strength to weight ratio is excellent

It seems like it will do the job for now. I want to play with height and position before investing in something more substantial and with a RFD side plate.

The Aero mount is curing now after some rattle-canning & baking last night. I’ll touch-up a bit, maybe add some stripes and then matte-coat it to seal it later. Very excite. 🥸

An update: what started as playing with a new update & rattle-canning some bits, has now morphed into a new rifle build. Going to collect another BCM shipment at a LGS tomorrow! 🤓

I*m pleased with the LPVO, for the price point. It*s no Razor HD G3, but it works and I got 2.5* groups at 200m from a 12.5, so. Good enough. Only got to do 20min of CQB drills, and def see why everyone loves the Razor at 1x power, but this will do.

mom another lower before the BCM came
    in..
