Why do we always see news reports about guns used in crime, but never see a report about people that are alive today because they used a gun to defend themselves,,

nor will you...it doesn't fit the agenda. no, you'll see the woman who murderedd in cold blood the man that entered her house (to savagely rape her, and strangle her with her own pantyhose). my my...how the media spins.

The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

In the above statement, you are blaming/crediting the human, not the gun.

And this is the way I look at it, it's the person in either case, not the gun that is responsible for the persons actions. Even if the bad guy does not have a gun, it is still the good guy choosing the use a gun as a positive force.

Here's what i noticed... Gun advocates will take blame off of the gun, it cannot be blamed for bad. Then at the same time a large percentage of us preach that guns stop crime, guns save lives. We blame guns for the good.

How can the same people that tell others that a gun cannot be blamed for crime then blame guns for stopping crime?

Anyway, like I said, just a rambling thought of mine. I know there are some who do not fit this, but there are many who do.

In the above, a man with a gun can stop a crime, a man with a gun can save lives. A gun on it's own is a pet rock. It takes the actions of a man to choose how to use for good or bad. No blame to the gun, the blame goes to the human wielding the gun.

Remove all guns from society, crimes will still be committed. Remove all knives from society, crimes will still be committed. Remove all rocks (pointy sticks, poisons, money, women, etc.) from society, crimes will still be committed. What you end up with is what we had before any of these were implemented as weapons, a very uncivilized society.

Let's keep all the guns, knives, rock, pointy sticks, poisons, monies, women, etc., etc., ...

Simple, asshat bandit with a gun has no respect for no one until he finds out that good guy has no respect for him and can send him to his maker with a gun.

If a bad guy uses a crowbar to break in, we blame the bad guy, not the crowbar. If I help someone trapped and use a crowbar, it was only with the help of the crowbar.
