Late season Hunting with slug gun in SEPA
Anyone going out with a slug gun for the late season in southeast PA?
I thnk I am taking my 870 tomorrow instead of my flintlock. I am more accurate with the slug.

Re: Late season Hunting with slug gun in SEPA
I had the slug gun out during the regular season but I will be out with the crossbow on the next hunt trying to fill my buck tag. My huntin' buddy will be out with one of my 870's to fill his last antlerless tag.

Went to Evansburg State Park. I had enjoyed my walk around it in early muzzle loader season.
Today it was wall to wall orange. After a while it got nerve wracking. I think there was an orange vest hiding about every hundred yards in the tree line around this one field.
Needless to say, my tags remain unfilled

Wait a week and try to get out during the middle of the week, hunters really thin out by then. I may run down yet this year, I don't know yet.

Re: Late season Hunting with slug gun in SEPA
Can anyone confirm (with the actual law) that you CANNOT hunt Extended Anterless and Small Game at the same time even though both seasons are open together? I heard that you can only hunt one or the other and don't get caught carrying ammo for both as it's a fine and possible loss of license.
I have looked through the Hunting Digest and searched Pennsylvania Game Laws online and cannot find this law. I have even talked to other hunters, guys who have hunted a lot longer than I have, and they've never heard about this law either and they've hunted both at the same time.
