    Default PA License to carry firearms question

    I have a license to carry firearms in PA. What does this mean exactly? I can have it on my person concealed, in the open, or BOTH?

    Both. It does more as well, but with your PA LTCF can carry open or concealed.
    While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

    where does it mention the word open carry? all i see is this " Purpose of license.--A license to carry a firearm shall be for the purpose of carrying a firearm concealed on or about one's person or in a vehicle throughout this Commonwealth.:

    ive heard pa is an open carry state, but i dont see it in writing as the law states.

    Laws don't tell you what you're allowed to do, they tell you what you may not do. You may not carry a firearm concealed on your person without a license to do so. If the law doesn't mention anything about OC, then OC is allowed by default.

    Your PA LTCF will also let you carry in certain other states that recognize PA's license.
