Thumbs up RCBS Improved swag rod

I bent the 223 rem swag rod on my swager combo. I called rcbs too order a new one, The guy at RCBS said they were having problems with the old rods and the new ones are made from stronger stock. Best part they are replacing the old one free of charge. I told the guy at RCBS, my swager pocket combo was over 5 years old and I felt it was my fault it bent, He said not a problem they would mail one right out.

RBCS has treated me right in the past. ....one reason why I prefer many of their items.

I've had the same experience. I've never been asked how the breakage happened. All they want to know is an address to send the replacement.

Ditto on the big green service: dies, bits etc.

I did burn though a couple vibratory tumblers from them, and stopped getting replacements - took store credit instead. ........I got tired of paying shipping.

I'll buy RCBS again in a minute.

I explained to the guy at RCBS that I have run 3000 plus case with the 223 stem before it failed, and that I was in a hurry sorting brass. So my fault, it made no difference, still free a company that stands behind their product is well worth the couple extra dollars you spend on RCBS.

This is good to know, I broke my 223 rod a few weeks ago and was looking at a bench mount version. Guess I will call them and get a new rod.

The phone number for RCBS parts is 1-800-533-5000, the old part number for the 223 rod is 09498. The new rod has a different number however the old numer works for the new rod.
