    Default Any South Hills shooters?

I'm from Upper St. Clair (the middle-class part, more correctly known as Lower St. Clair).

    Default south hills

    dirksterg30,

I'm in Bridgeville. My property borders USC just above McLaughlin run.

Where do you shoot? I'm looking for a new place till GPGC reopens.

Default Gun Clubs In South Hills

I just filled an application for Mc Donald sportsman's Assoc. They meet 2nd Tuesday each month. You must be present to apply. Very nice club but the list of "must have" and "must do" is a little to much for me. I shoot long range rifle and they do have a fine range. I will shoot again at Greater Pitt when they reopen.

    SINNER,

I was going to sign up for membership at McDonald on the 11th of Jul.

Unfortunately, I have to work night shift that week so I'll have to either delay that or find another club.

27hand, I joined Coraopolis Sportsman to hold me over til GP reopens. Its a nice club with a 24/7 indoor pistol range. The outdoor range is 100 yrd. You can only shoot lead bullets in the indoor one but that works for me. I work the afternoon shift, so a 24/7 range is great. Working second shift doesn't work well with Mcdonalds Sportsmans due to the price difference between making meetings and not. It's also very close to me(crafton) and easy to get to.

    plr16,

I reveiwed McDonalds do/do not do list of club rules and it seems somewhat restrictive.

I like to shoot steel and just bought a couple self setting speed plates I'd like to try out. McDonald you can't shoot steel closer than 25 yds.

I like to drill from holster and shoot on the move or from retention occasionally.

I think I'll join Cory like you did just to shoot till GPGC reopens. Maybe I'll see if my friend who owns a farm near Imperial will let me set up a small range area.
i may have to check with North Fayette PD to see if its a problem. They haven't hassled me in the past but more and more homes are being built around the area.

It was a total of $125.00 $75 int and $50 dues. It's a buck for range time for members and $5 for guests. You can bring a guest 3 or 4 times before they have to join. The 24/7 indoor range is lead only. No clays. Its never really crowded there. Its not bad....its no GPGC but it'll do.

I guess you could call me a South Hills shooter. I live in a little section of the city that lies between Greentree and Dormont. Most folks don't even know it is the city. I am a member at Coraopolis. I used to shoot a GPGC but prefer Cory unless I need more than 100 meters.
