Re: Americans Bought More Guns Than Flat Screen TV’s On Black Friday
But are the speakers of yesteryear as equally improved - the "Larger Advent", JBL L25s, Klipschorns, Dahlquists, Bose 901s, even the po-mans Advents - the Dynaco A25s?
Got suckered into one of these new-fangled Blowse 5-speaker Lifestyle home systems; great until the PCB in the head system goes - once bitten, twice shy.All of my guns are lubed with BACON GREASE.

How ironic.....I bought both a flat screen & a rifle on Black Friday.
Don’t like me ???? Tough, I don’t give a flying f@@k about ya.

Heck, I had a Zenith console that I bought in 1986 that just gave up the ghost last year. It still delivered a great picture, but the on/off switch broke and I couldn't find a replacement part.

Re: Americans Bought More Guns Than Flat Screen TV’s On Black Friday
Honestly don’t understand exactly what you guys are complaining about. For a reasonable amount of money you can get a fantastic big screen TV and an awesome sound system. Is anybody really missing the old CRT screens with crappy speakers that weighted a ton?
On a side note, PA had three TV Glass manufacturing plants – Pittston, State College and Mount Pleasant. Talk about not understanding their markets: they all believed that flat screens were only going to be for the super-rich and none believed it was a threat to their business. Within just a few years they were all closed.
