Browning Abolt Slug Gun Question
I am looking at a Browning Abolt 12ga slug gun. It states it is made exclusively for sabot slugs. Has anyone used slugs other than sabots in theie Abolt? Would non-sabot shells cause issues to the rifle? My assumption is the sabots shoot the best from this rifle. I just have a load of 12ga slugs of various brands & designs. Thanks for any input!

Re: Browning Abolt Slug Gun Question
In general, plain slugs A) are very soft and will badly lead a rifled barrel. B) They don't shoot accurately.
Sabots like clean barrels, chore of scrubbing the lead out will kill the fun you had plinking with the fosters.
YMMV
