Holster for Ruger Redhawk .44 mag?
Greetings all
Does anyone here know of a source for holsters, OWB of course, for a Ruger Redhawk .44 mag? I have not had much in the way of results while looking. The barrel is 6 1/2". I think it might make a nice OC piece on the proper occasions.

Here are a couple of choice:
Bianchi - http://www.bianchi-intl.com/product/...hp?numSubCat=1
Look at the 5bh and the 111 Cyclone
Simply Rugged - http://www.simplyrugged.com/
Also, I think you will find that your Redhawk has either a 5.5 or a 7.5 inch barrelThe Lord Bless You

Any mission, any conditions, any foe at any range.
Twice the mayhem, triple the force.
Ten times the action, total hardcore.

Thanks guys, and it is probably a 7 1/2" barrel.

You don't happen to be lefthanded do you? I have a LH Bianchi 111 for a 7.5" Redhawk that I would be willing to sell.

Unfortunately, while I do a lot of things lefthanded, shooting isn't one of them. Otherwise I would be glad to take you up on it. Now, if I could convince Mrs. Plinker that I needed ANOTHER Redhawk, and then a second holster, so I could walk around like the Frito Bandito, then perhaps I could help you out. But I am pretty sure I know what she would say to that idea!

Nothing like a New York Reload.

Re: Holster for Ruger Redhawk .44 mag?
I believe if you hung 2 Redhawks of your belt your pants would fall down even if you use suspenders. Plus you wouldn't be able to walk. Those Redhawks are heavy!
The nice thing about the 111 is that it can be worn strong side or crossdraw.
If you were to get one from Simply Rugged, Rob will cut both cross draw and strong side slots on your request. I have one of his Pancakes for my 7.5" Blackhawk. The Pancake holds the gun higher and tighter to the body than the 111 does.
Both are great holstersLast edited by 41 Redhawk; July 8th, 2008 at 01:08 PM. Reason: Sentence didn't make sense

I will toss a vote in for Uncle Mikes as well. It holds my super blackhawk nicely and keeps it comfortably on my hip....just make sure your belt is tight, lol
