    Default WMA 5C regulations questions

Sorry if these are bad questions. I am new to hunting in PA.

I searched the forum for "5C", but that search is too short and wouldn't come up with any hits.

I have the hunting digest and have read it.

I live in Durham, which is next to Riegelsville, in Bucks.

From what I gather, I am in 5C.

It also appears 5C is shotgun only, when it comes to firearms season. It alos looks like slugs only. Is this true?

I am from NJ and I am used to being able to harvest as many doe as you want, and need to buy a new tag for each buck. It looks like you have to have a tag for each doe, and all tags are sold out. Is it accurate that each doe requires a tag? If so, I assume this means I am out of luck this season?

It also looks like we do not have a fall turkey. Accurate?

    Thanks for any input.

It's all fun and games, until someone loses an eye. Then it is hilarious.

    Not true.
No spring turkey. 5c is part of special regs, special regs are shotgun the rest of 5c rifle
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

I live in 5c & also hunt 4c. We don't get Fall Turkey in 5c correct, but we DO have Spring Gobbler like the rest of the state. If you don't have any doe tags, you're limited to the tags you have with your license. That means you're limited to a legal buck during rifle season, but can shoot a doe or legal buck in flintlock (with muzzleloader license) with your unused buck tag.

As for legal arms & ammunition, Bucks is in the special regs area. Here's what I found, copy/pasted from the digest: Muzzleloading long guns, 44 caliber or larger, manual or semi-automatic shotguns, .410 or larger, using slugs; 20-gauge or larger, using buckshot, bows and crossbows. Crossbows must have a minimum draw weight of 125 pounds.

That is kinda confusing on buck shot or slugs. Hopefully someone from Bucks, Chester, Delaware or Montgomery counties can chime in on that. I'm in Berks county, so I use a 308.

Yep you are partially correct in your understanding.
I think you can use buckshFot in some areas.
    Muzzle loaders are also OK
No turkey in the fall so of course you will see them everywhere.
Antlerless tags are specific to WMU so my doe tag issued for 3c (Poconos) isn't good in 5c.

5C spills into Berks Lehigh and Northampton. You can use center fire rifles there.
