Were about to get hammered with snow. Don't know if the thanksgiving day hunt will happen. Only time will tell

Good & Bad first day of bear.

Good part.

Saw fresh tracks,some deer,squirrels,and a lone grouse.

Bad part fell on icy forest road and broke the stock on my
35 Remington.

Luckily I wasn't seriously hurt,just bruised a little and pissed about my stock.

Stocks can be fixed pride takes a little longer! Last year hunting with A-8 (2nd son) I tripped walking forward. Visual cold out and hands chest high in pockets of coat. Trip going forward. I did the curly shuffle for about 5 yards and face planted into the snow and ice. My son enjoyed the show. Hope your all good and look at it this way you could be fossils face! Hahah sorry fossil had to get a shot in there!

I just got back from an all day small game hunt. Had gameloads and Turkey Loads just in case. Was looking for an illusive Black squirrel that I always see just out of range when I have my bow in hand. Didn't have any luck but I was out. Walked a very good area of the gameland I'm going to be by Monday did some scouting of traffic trails and etc. I small game hunt every year. I also have a trap line. Now that's a rearity.
