Re: New Can !!!!
Serious question here... no sarcasm intended. Other than certain tactical applications with special ops, help me understand the attraction of a suppressor? When I go to the gun range I want my stuff going bang, not pfttt.

Re: New Can !!!!
We've had a few guys bring their own and others bring a bunch of demos to the group shoots.
We usually stop the action for a few minutes to allow only the suppressed guns a chance to shoot where we can all take our hearing protection off to hear the difference - not only between suppressed and unsuppressed, but using various types of ammo.
Some are sort of like "OK, that's a little quieter" and others are like "OMG, that's quieter than a .22!"
I'd much prefer to shoot a high powered round that is quieter than the bolt working in the rifle than make all that noise if I had a choice.
A bigger "novelty" is adding a muzzle brake that ENHANCES muzzle blast.
At least there's sound (no pun intended) reasoning for a suppressor.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: New Can !!!!
Silencers are not just for special ops.
Silencers are good to use when you don't want alot of noise. I use them when shooting on my farm because I'm courteous to my neighbors, and a 3 hour symphony of .308, 5.56 SBR's, and various pistol calibers shooting in full auto can sometimes be disturbing.
Silencers can be helpful if you intend to use your weapon for HD as well, particularly since we generally don't shoot without ear pro.
Silencers have alot of good uses aside from just the looking and sounding cool factor.
