Re: Never thought I would see the day, firearms for sale at KoP mall
Purchased a couple of Lee-Enfields from Woolworths as well back in the days when Gene's books in the outdoor mall behind Acme was the mecca for remaindered books of all types. Have lived near to KoP mall since 1970. I agree, you could also buy rifles in the original mall in Plymouth meeting. Dave_n

Never thought I would see the day, firearms for sale at KoP mall
Wow! You must be young!
It was just the Plaza back then , before the Court was built. I remember when Woolworths , JC Penney's and Hermans Sporting Goods sold firearms. Probably a few others. Woolworths had drums of surplus rifles back when I was in HS. I bought a 6.5 Italian Carcano carbine for $15. JC Penney's had a nice selection of rifles and shotguns. So did Herman's , who also sold handguns. Bought my first S&W Mod.629 .44 Magnum there.
There was also a smoke shop at Plymouth Meeting Mall that sold handguns.I don't speak English , I talk American!

Re: Never thought I would see the day, firearms for sale at KoP mall
Dave_n, my wife and I used to love Gene's! We were so sad when it closed. If we were older at the time I think we even would have even tried to buy it or something.
