WE NEED TO PUSH FOR SEMI AUTO HUNTING
Now that we know we'll be faced with an anti in the Governor's Mansion, we need to be pre emptive and have Republicans push a new bill to allow hunting with Semi Autos. Let's get the grabbers back on their heels and seriously try to push this through the legislature.
There are several states that allow hunting with Semi Auto rifles, our neighbor West Virginia being one of them.

Re: WE NEED TO PUSH FOR SEMI AUTO HUNTING
Yes I would love to have that. I would also love to have PA be a constitutional carry state like Vermont, Alaska, Arizona & Wyoming.

Re: WE NEED TO PUSH FOR SEMI AUTO HUNTING
We have been pushing for Semi-auto for hunting for the last several session
HB 2333 was the latest effort for giving the PGC the authority to allow there use.
in the past there was several other efforts limited to only several species people consider varmints to allow semi-auto rifles.
everyone take the time to educate yourself by reading this and other threads on PAFOA
Besides "officially the Wolf" claims he is pro hunting!
now that he is governor elect we shall see what that promise is really worth
2014 - Rep Saccone - Hunting with Semi automatic Rifles in PA
http://forum.pafoa.org/hunting-23/25...rifles-pa.html
Rep Saccone said he was going to reintroduce in the 2015-2016 session the option to use semi-auto rifles with limited mag capacity
SPORTING AND OUTDOORS
Pennsylvania has a long and proud history of hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation. With 120 state parks, 2.2 million acres of state forests, 85,000 miles of streams and rivers, more than 600,000 acres of lakes and ponds, and 1.4 million acres of state game lands, our commonwealth is a desirable outdoor destination for both residents and visitors.
According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and U.S. Census Bureau, in 2011 4.6 million residents and visitors over the age of 15 enjoyed outdoor activities, such as hunting, fishing, and wildlife watching. These outdoor enthusiasts spent $2.8 billion in Pennsylvania on both trip- and activity-related expenses.
As a resident of central Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf knows firsthand the importance of hunting and fishing as well as protecting the second amendment. His business – like those throughout the county – used to close the first day of hunting season. Tom Wolf believes we need to continue to grow our outdoor recreation sector and ensure that state policies promote the rights of hunters and anglers, support conservation efforts, protect our air and water, and strengthen our outdoor tourism industry. As governor, Tom Wolf will:
* • Protect the rights of gunowners, hunters, and anglers -- Our sportsmen and women have played a major role in shaping our outdoor recreation sector and have been vocal about the need to protect our natural habitats. As governor, Tom Wolf will work to make sure licences and other fees are priced appropriately and key stakeholders have a voice in all relevant policy decisions.
Tom Wolf knows Pennsylvania has a long history of responsible gun ownership. As governor, he will continue to support the Second Amendment and protect the right of residents to own firearms.Learn how to really SUPPORT the 2nd Amendment cause Go To http://www.foac-pac.org/

Re: WE NEED TO PUSH FOR SEMI AUTO HUNTING
Think of the children!
I wonder if people made the same argument back in the 1800s when bolt-action rifles were starting to replace muzzle-loaders? I mean, who really needs to shoot upwards of 10-20 rounds a minute while hunting? The forest will be filled with bullets zipping to and fro! I don't think there'll be any trees left at the end of the first open season weekend with that much firepower being used.
