My poor naive mother asked me this in conversation yesterday when we were talking about CC and OC. She said "well either way, it's not loaded right, you don't carry it around loaded right?"

I said "no mom, I just say oh hang on bad guy let me load my mag real quick cause I just carry this around unloaded to look real nice with my purse and shoes...."

You can just imagine what the rest of our conversation was like. *slams head on desk* I wonder if she dropped me on my head as a baby or if SHE was dropped?

No really my mom's cool but.... damn!

Ask her if her fire extinguisher is charged (loaded).

Having recently had a similar conversation on the evils of CC with my mother, I offer my condolences. There's no winning, unfortunately.

She's not against it per say. She is just learning...a bit further behind then I am. Hell, I have a LOT to learn as I am picking things up every day from this site.

She is not so much for OC although she is figuring out pretty quick that she doesn't have all the facts and like me she is interested in having more facts on things etc. I was deadset on always CCing until I started reading more about OCing and now I think there will be times that I consider both (not at the same time LOL) I did not think my opinion could be swayed but I know that if I am shown specific FACTS that contradict my beliefs I can always be swayed to consider my original opinion. I tend to be open minded like that.

ETA: I was shocked to learn yesterday that my father is not really anti-firearms. He thinks that if you're going to carry it SHOULD be OC ALL THE TIME. He thinks that ONLY LEOs should be allowed to CC. Of course, later he told me that I should go to college and become a cop if I want to carry a firearm because he "only wants smart people handling firearms". I told him it was nice that he could only consider me smart if I went to college and that was the end of that conversation.
