    Default The NRA be damned.

That's how the editorial in our Bucks County Courier Times ended.

It began with the mast "Legislators fear the NRA".

In a nutshell, the columnist lamented PA legislators' way of "safely" dealing with proposed legislation the NRA opposes...by letting it die.

Citing an unsourced 75 percent of Penna citizens wanting pigeon shooting stopped, the columnist said in essence that the pigeon shooting has to stop.

    Followed by and ending with

    The NRA be damned.

The guy that wrote that does a nice job when he writes about his memories of growing up in Philly, however every time he goes on one of his anti-gun rants I just want to slap him around.
His email adrs. is listed at the end of the article, I think maybe we should inundate his email acct. & the newspaper's with complaints

I don't think that most PA Citizens know that canned Pigeon shoots exist. I bet a lot of Urban people who have to cope with these obnoxious pests would like to have a "pigeon shoot" in the cities. "Get rid of those pests!".

I think the NRA and Hunters are concerned that banning the Pigeon shoots might be a way of banning hunting.

How many votes does the NRA have? None. They don't vote. Gun owners vote.

Those type of bills are sponsored by the animal rights people like PETA and Humane Society of US. Their ultimate goal is stop hunting period and they use these types of bills to gain a foothold. Make no mistake they are just like the lunatic fringe gun grabbers that aim to control every aspect of life. Pigeon Shoots are a meaningless and easy way to gain they foothold they desire. If you don't like pigeon shoots then don't go to one but leave the rest of us alone. Mind your own eff...ing business is the rule of the day. It doesn't concern you. Light up a joint and fo_get about it Petey, ah ight.

Oh jeeezzzz another pecking pigeon thread...

It isn't meant to be hunting. It is a sporting event.

Wish people cared more about taxes, gov spending, homeless kids, and the like.

What is a shame is hunters can't donate meat. We have to pay to have a butcher gov certified.
