I was surprised to see 5C sell out. When was the last time it sold out?

I missed last year's season being on orders out of the state, but in previous years, I've gone to the court house with a group to buy half a dozen tags for the next day's hunt in 5C.

    Point #1 - I no longer hunt.

Point #2 - I have heard ( verbal, not on the net) that PETA sent folks into PA to buy up permits. Well, they would need a license to get a doe permit.

Point #3 - Most likely BS but I guess it is possible. Anyone run across this theory?

Only heard this theory online, but also that if the numbers harvested don't add up, they'll just change the math next year and issue more tags.

Who knows, seems like an expensive way to make a point, especially since it's meat people eat. There isn't a trophy hunt aspect to harvesting a doe.

a friend called the Bucks Co courthouse to inquire last week and was told added pressure from people buying doe tags because of the closure of hunting areas north of here because of the Frein manhunt. Makes sense. Plus animal rights activists buying tags makes sense, I can see some of them framing them like a shrine of how many deer they saved

But why would they keep such activities secret?
Leftists tend to toot their own horn at every chance.

The PETA rumor has been around for years. I take it for what it is, a rumor. The area I live in (4-C) was closed to doe the first week this year. That may have something to do with it. I doubt it had anything to do with that idiot running loose up here. The doe hunting is not that great up here anymore.
