From Bruce and Reinhart, the Mk Service in 0.455 was "sealed" in 1887. The Mk II in 1894. This is a black powder only pistol.Do not under any circumstance use any smokeless powder in it. Otherwise you will be holding a hand grenade with the pin pulled. Soft lead bullet at around 600 fps, sized 0.454 weight around 250 grains. Finding the necessary cartridge case will be "fun". Check to see if the serial number on the edge of the cylinder has at least a millimetre of steel below it. Under no circumstance, use 0.45 ACP loading data. This is the proof load for a Mk VI Webley from 1915. Dave_n
