OK, according to the pic on Remingtons site, this rifle has a molded in sling connector on the forestock.

I dont know of any factory part from Harris, or a 770 compatible bipod that would go on the factory swivel connector.

so, to fit up a harris bipod (best one) you'll have to get a common sling stud mounted, probably just forward of the current one.

I'd recommend hitting a local gunsmith to have it installed, since i havent taken the action out of the stock on one of those to see what the interior is like.

if its mostly hollow, I suspect it would be a 5 min job with a drill, and the proper Uncle Mikes sling swivel stud, and a washer/nut to keep it on.

then ya just snap the harris bipod on the sling stud.

    that should do it.

some gunshops can also do it, but probably better to hit a smith if you dont feel secure in installing your own part.

thanks for the info, going to try a universal adapter that goes on the barrel first, if that doesn't work out i'm definetly going to try your idea. i'm starting to wonder why a gunsmith never crossed my mind =P. thanks
