    Default S & W 1911

I am looking at a S&W 1911. Whats the word on them?

I always stressed to my son"one shot one kill that was all that is needed". When He came home from Marine Corp Boot camp He was telling me about the Marines stressing "ONE SHOT ONE KILL" He looks at me and the light bulb went on Dad was now a whole lot smarter than he was 13 weeks ago.

I don't own one, but I have shot a few of them and they are great shooters.

The S&W Gunsite edition 1911 is a sweet little shooter. I want one of those badly.

If you want more info, go to http://forum.m1911.org/ , best site for anything 1911's. They have sections for just about all the name brands.

I almost bought one myself but ran into my Para first. They are great guns very accurate and very reliable. A lot of the 1911 purists don't like them because they have an external extractor. If you don't mind that then get one they are great!!!!

I have owned one and it was a nice 1911. It shot well and it was not really expensive. I had it for 2 years and shot it in Steel competition, did not jamb or have any other problems.

i have one of their "scandium" (aluminum) 1911s with a 4.25" barrel nice little shooter, really light weight, the weight DOES affect the recoil as it is more noticeable but its still ok. i got the 1911pd with crimson trace grips, i got a REALLY good deal on it, is really the only reason i bought it hope to have pics up soon but cant find my camera

Smith&Wesson has been making the 1911 parts for other companies for a long time so it was a no branier to enter the market.

I will refer you to this thread of mine for more information.
    http://www.pafoa.org/forum/pistols-4...-sw1911pd.html

In a nut shell it is made of top of the line parts, it loads empty brass without a hiccup so HP's and anything else you can think of works flawlessly and lastly it is American.

I could do without the white warning on the side. But everything else puts it as my number one carry and compition pistol.
