Corbett/ Wolf…. Top 10 donors for each
I thought the following was interesting. I knew that Wolf had more money to spend on the election, I did not realize that over a 3rd of the money was his own money.
http://www.delcotimes.com/government...rbett-tom-wolf
Donors to the campaigns of Republican Gov. Tom Corbett and his Democratic challenger, Tom Wolf, have given $48.2 million so far in 2013 and 2014, according to campaign finance reports submitted to the state by the two campaigns. Corbett has received about $20.5 million; Wolf has received about $27.6 million. The figures are current through Sept. 15, the latest data the campaigns were required to make available.
Including another $1.1 million in in-kind contributions of goods and services, the total is more than $49 million. Below are the top 10 donors to each campaign, including the value of their in-kind contributions. Collectively, those 20 groups and individuals contributed $25.8 million, or more than half the total raised in 2013 and 2014 thus far.
Including spending in the four-way Democratic Party primary, the campaign has cost in excess of $62 million, and is threatening the all-time record of nearly $70 million in Pennsylvania, set in 2002.
The next campaign finance reports are due to the state on Oct. 24, for fundraising and spending through next Monday. The election is Nov. 4.

Re: Corbett/ Wolf…. Top 10 donors for each
So in other words, Tom Wolf gave himself more money than all 10 of Tom Corbett's top donors combined.

Re: Corbett/ Wolf…. Top 10 donors for each
I'm going to shop at Boscov's as a thank you.
Also, notice many of Wolf's include unions and fake political front organizations, and chairmen as opposed to CEOs for Corbett. Chairmen are often lawyers or simply rich guys who gain their influence from buying it.
Wolf took a page right from the Clintons' playbook (The Clinton Foundation, a charity to pay themselves and hide from taxes).
Still borrowing money from his father too I see.
Breakdown:
CEOs/Business-owners
Corbett = 7
Wolf = 1
Total Individuals/private citizens
Corbett = 6
Wolf = 3 (one is his own father, not counting Tom himself)
Labor Unions
Corbett = 0
Wolf = 4
Direct Party Contributions
Corbett = 2
Wolf = 1 (interesting how DNC not supporting him as RNC supports Corbett)
*Governors Associations are from National Parties, budgeted to support all Gubernatorial candidates nationwide
Political Action Committees
Corbett = 1
Wolf = 2 ("Tom Wolf for Governor Committee" group sitting at #1 is a tax-exempt front group to get around campaign funding laws)

And Wolf's #1 priority is taxing everybody out the wazoo for education spending. What a coincidence!
Where are the evil fracking companies on Corbett's list?

Now I feel really good about getting a purse for my wife from Boscov's when we went shopping the other night! Now I know that BonTon is off the list. I haven't bought anything there in years anyway.

Ok, I'll take my lumps for this, but I can't be the only one who has some random, dumb thing still rattling around his head from childhood. Inexplicably, one of those for me is an AFSCME (pronounced affs-me) ad jingle from the 70's:
After the parades, after the pro-mi-ses, someone has to stay to keep our states and cities running
A-F-S...C-M-E
AFSCME, AFSCME
We are the American Federation of state, county and municipal employees
AFSC-ME...the yoon-yun that works for.....you!Last edited by Gman106; October 16th, 2014 at 03:03 PM.
