Why not use the media?

Hi I'm new here. Found this site after watching the Nightline program. I've learned a lot here. My question is why not use the media to spread the word about OC? I never knew it was legal. Couldn't a few news stories let the public and the LEO know the law?

We try, but the problem is that the Media likes to slant things. The Nightline report was VERY positive, and also VERY unusual.

If you read some of the other news stories referenced in other threads, you can get a better idea of what we are up against in the media.

I should also point out that we have in the past used the Media to publicize OC, in the Erie County area - and it did turn out well.

The mass media is controlled by those who are mainly liberal dems. So they tend to edit and chop up any segments we do use in order to fill their needs. Media is a scary thing because there are to many people who think because they saw it on tv it must be true.

Our best advertisement is in how we go about our lives. If you are Ocing how do you conduct yourself. Are you articulate polite and very helpful. That is the kind of "press" we need.

Every Anti that we let us see as hey there is nothing wrong with that, is one person closer to actually get what we want. Going about our lives and to just be left alone. To live our lives in peace, as guaranteed us in the U.S. Constitution.

I too didn't know OC was legal before I joined this site...glad I came across it from a member on xdtalk.com who is also registered here (sorry, but I forget the person.)

Good post dobe. Using the mainstream media is like having tiger as a house cat. Sure it agrees with you now and looks cute on the front lawn. But 2mro it may just chew your face off for no logical reason other than thats what it was made to do.
