To the FNX owners!
I have about 1700 rounds through my FNX .45 Tac and being the ocd asshole that I am want to detail strip and clean the innards for two reasons: 1. To clean the innards for my mental well being, 2. Because the farthest Ive gone with it is a field strip. Its obviously got more bits and shit than my G19. Just wondering if anyone else has taken it down further and how to go about it. I can seem to find anything on the interweb.

Re: To the FNX owners!
Haven't looked into this because I have not found it necessary. 1700 rounds is a little early for such a detailed breakdown in my book. Check youtube yet?

Re: To the FNX owners!
This would be good advice if I didn't know any better. Please please PLEASE do NOT use an ultrasonic cleaner on a poly gun! I have seen first hand how it breaks down the polymer....to a point I can put a significant gouge in the plastic with only my finger nail. It softens it up a great deal. I would highly advise against this!

Dont own an ultrasonic cleaner so..
But for anyone interested I found the vid via youtube:

It looks like a major pain in the ass, which now is the only thing stopping me from trying it. Its good to know though.

Re: To the FNX owners!
For cleaning a polymer gun in an ultrasonic I dont use the heat. Just room temp and run it for 2-3 mins. No problems with that so far.
