Supposedly they are in the upper mid state. I have hunted Tioga and Cameron county for 30+ years and never saw one. The Dep of Ag considers them shoot to kill but the game comm says not without a valid license (i Believe) if you know of any certainty where they are let us know, I would love me some wild bacon. I would also like to see what my Winchester 94/44mag with 300 grain HPs would do on a charging beast. We don't get too many aggressive animals here in Pa.
Sit down! You'll never clear leather.

so far that what i came up with.
For me as a new guy to the hunting game. I've thought about my 308, 7.62X54R and my 500 s&w for starters they can be pretty big and in 5 months or so i want to go out with a Can for a more quite and pleasant hunt.Last edited by Michael Black 47; October 9th, 2014 at 03:21 PM.

There is no swine hunting in PA. ...you can only shoot them incidentally while hunting other game that is in season, with a device that is legal for the game that is in season.
Limits - none.. ...if you see any while hunting other game you can kill as many as you want.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

Re: Feral Swine in PA what is your experience hunting them.
Personal opinion here, I wouldn't mind if we had a rampant pig problem here like they do in the Deep South and Texas. Why? Well, for one, the PGC has so horribly mismanaged the deer population that I seriously consider not buying hunting license and going out. A rampant pig problem would do several things that we all might benefit from. Semi-auto rifles MIGHT get fast-tracked, Sunday hunting, lots of farmers begging hunters to help them out. Yeah, a feral pig problem has it's upside. It also has a HUGE downside, but I won't argue that side as I am hoping we get HOGZILLA and his family firmly entrenched here! Here piggy piggy piggy SOOOWEEEE !!!!

Known downsides (disease, habitat destruction, predation of other critters, more crop damage) and MAYBE some upside? You're nuts.
I'm pretty sure there are fenced in hunting preserves with hogs in Pa, go pay to play there. Or head south for a winter break. Don't wish those critters on the wilds of Pa.
