Good progress made last Saturday, but more work to be done.

A group of 15-20 members showed up Saturday for the work detail on the outside range. One group worked down on the expansion/repair of the 100 Yard berm. Progress was made. More work still to do before it is ready.

Another group worked to build a heavy duty awning over the down range side of the shooting positions. The awnings are made of multiple rows of doubled 2x10's that will inhibit shooters from aiming and shooting over the berms. Benches still need to be made.

Their goal is to get the 100 yard range up and running as soon as they can for the upcoming rifle season. A similar heavy awning will also be built in front of the pistol shooting positions, again to inhibit people from being able to shoot over the berm. The 50 and 25 yard berms still need to be repaired and upgraded after the 100 yard berm is done.

Go to the club website and enter your email address to receive updates and notices of upcoming work details. The more people that help, the faster the outdoor range will be reopened. If you are a member, please support the club, show up and help with the work details. Spread the word.
