Default go in looking around, walk out with a new toy

Stopped by HG Easton today after work. Felt like looking around. Hoping to spy a used G20. No luck on that front, but did see a Gen 4 G17 with Trijicon sights. Still has the copper grease inside.

    $429.

    Damn it.

    Now I own a G17.

This plus my GF went and got her LTCF today. Good day.
It's all fun and games, until someone loses an eye. Then it is hilarious.

Nothin' wrong with a G17! I have one of the early Gen 4s that had the screwed up extractor/ejectors. After I straightened that out it turned out to be a good gun.

I already have a 34 as a range toy, and was leaning towards a 19 as a carry, but after feeling the 19 in hand, comparing it to the 17, I decided the 17 was better for me. The price made it a no brainer. Not an unheard of deal, but pretty darn good, IMHO.

Best part of the transaction is there was some awful little plastic Glock "holster" in the kit. I traded it to a guy in the shop for a breath mint. I think I came out ahead on that one. Lol.

The 17 is the classic glock... Good pickup!

    Congrats!

I can control myself most of the time, but I have done this before as well.

I really want to look for a 17/19 or a revovler of some kind.

Awesome. Congrats. My Glock 17 Gen4 is still one of my favorite handguns. Good price for a gently used Gen 4 with night sights. I walked into my LGS and found a pristine G22 Gen 3 for $389. Took it home.
