    Default Smith&Wesson 'relic'.

Any other fans of the really old school revolvers?

Here is a Smith&Wesson Military and Police from 1928. This model has the 5-screw construction, and is almost in new condition. Remarkable, considering it's almost 90 years old! Carrying it is a dream, it's actually slim and balanced well.

Any one else like these really old gems?

That is a great example. Im not big on revolvers, but do appreciate these classic examples of yore.

I like any S&W, but to call that a relic seems to be a misnomer. There is not a whole lot of difference between that gun and the currently produced Model 10's. The heritage is pretty clear.

Now a Model 1 1/2 or #3 Russian may be termed relics. S&W has been with us for more than 150 years and today's revolvers all evolved from designs in the early 1900's.

Any S&W revolver is a thing of beauty.

Fair enough. It's kind of why I put the word 'relic' in quotes. Perhaps my overall meaning comes in the context of what seems popular today; the newest whiz-bang semi-autos with space age materials and a huge basket of bullets in the handle (nothing against autos; i carry them as well). The revolver seems less popular, and these old hand ejectors seem almost forgotten by the general population.

I love these historical pieces. This one, with the tapered barrel, color case hardened trigger and hammer, and excellent fit and finish, just speak volumes to me.

Wow, that is pretty! I love old S&Ws, especially when they're in that nice of a condition!

    Not a Relic, still relevant.
I have a mid 30s 1905 HE in 38 special and it is a dream to shoot.
Still live my S&W wheel guns no matter what the glock guys say.

It certainly is fun to take a nickled 32-20 S&W from1904 to the range and outshoot a chap with the latest tupperware, particularly when he realizes that it is 110 years old. Dave_n

I really wish it weren't such a pia to build top break revolvers! I honestly believe that's how they're supposed to be!

Always liked the .38/44 Outdoorsman and Model of 1950 revolvers too.
