    Default 1 Dead in accidental shooting at Police firing range

    CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. (WPVI) -- One person was injured in an accidental shooting at a county owned firing range in Conshohocken.

    The incident happened around 4:40 p.m. at the Montgomery County Public Safety Training Center on the 1100 block of Conshohocken Road.

    One person was shot and was air lifted to an area hospital.

    There is no word on the victim's identity or condition at this time. Authorities have said, however, that the majority of those who use the facility are law enforcement officers.

    Montgomery County's website states that the safety campus provides classrooms, training and other support facilities for the Fire Academy, Emergency Medical Services Training Institute, Law Enforcement division, Hazardous Materials Response Team and the Sheriff's Department Bomb Disposal Unit.

    The incident is under investigation.

    They do conduct very little training involving Dispatchers/Police scenarios. IIRC that is over with for now. My bet is on a Police officer!!

    Pennsylvania State Police tell CBS 3 a State Trooper was injured after an accidental discharge at a gun range in Montgomery County.
    The shooting happened around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Montgomery County Public Safety Training Campus in Conshohocken.
