Report of an OC arrest at the Bechtelsville Walmart

While OC today at Walmart an Employee warned me to be careful with that!
(G19) I asked why? He then told me that a Man was getting a Flu shot this morning and the lady giving the shots called the Police. He then said the Police took him away.

I explained to him that Walmart follows state law and that I have Corporate on speed dial incase of problems. I then told him unless something has changed, or the Guy was wanted the Police had a problem and the Guy had a lawsuit!

So anybody here??

There's definitely more to this story. Trouble will lie in finding out what it is unless there is a story in the local paper to go on.

EDIT: Based on the story so far I see no basis for a law suit. Hypothetical: shot-giver hates guns, asks OCer to cover, or take it to car, or no shot, because he/she isn't comfortable with the gun. OCer refuses, cuz "ah knows mah rights."

Store manager is called. Walmart policy is to follow local laws, BUT, store manager retains the right and authority and control of the store as is necessary for daily operations. He makes a management decision, asks OCer to comply, who becomes increasingly belligerent, and local popo are called in to assist. They ask him ( however politely) to comply, under the color and presence of their authority, and OCer stands his ground thinking he has a right to OC in Walmart.

They cite and arrest him for trespass and remove him.

The manager still controls the store. If he is a complete dick you can call corporate and maybe have him educated. However, if the OCer is being the complete dick, we can probably count on corporate to back the store manager.

The devil is in the details, and I'm waiting (anxiously) to see them!

Mommy that man has a gun is a powerful powerful accusation, implying that everyone is about to die. I wouldn't be surprised if the SWAT team showed up in their new MRAP. I called a Kid who works at walmart. He said the police were at the store but he didn't know what for or the exact time. He is going to do some asking around and find out if its true or if the Employee who told me is full of shit. IMO I think the Guy who spoke to me is full of shit!
