At this point, between drones, satellites, internet monitoring and inexpensive invisibility cloaks, I think it is fair to say there is very little means of ensuring our rights are actually honored by our government. We can talk about it, but if the government wants to invade our privacy and monitor us daily, they can do it without us ever knowing.

All the more reason why we need to elect trustworthy, moral people. Unfortunately trustworthy and moral people are often the most demonized by our politicians. I wonder why.
