    Default Please help me. ID a old flint lock pistol

    Hello,
    I am having very little luck with Id ing this pistol I have. I tried to look up the proof marks with little luck. any help would be great. I think it is the W style crown over the letters HC.

    I would take it to Dixons Muzzleloading in Kempton. They should be able to help you out.

    I have it nailed down to 1650. 1680. Ottomen Empire area. I think it was a export to there. But not sure from where Prussian I was told and Russian another. I dont beleive the russian is correct

    letters were usually the makers initials.


    If it's not an heirloom. I'd find a knowledgeable auctioneer .

    While not a Flint Lock guy that thing is a BEAUTY! That's the kind of Flint lock I would get if I were. If its for sale let me know
