Re: Any reloaders get your kids involved in reloading?
I think kids and kinetic bullet pullers have the potential to be a bad mix. If the kid turns the "hammer" upside down and hits the wrong thing, obviously the round could go off. So, I avoid that.

Re: Any reloaders get your kids involved in reloading?
Anyone could do that if careless, not just a child.
Guess I'm fortunate to trust my daughter and watch her as she's doing her chores.
I was wondering how long it would be til someone made a reply about having children help reloading.
If you don't trust your child to use the bullet puller...why would you trust your child with a loaded firearm?

One grandson started helping me when he was 6. He's now thirty and using his Rockchucker. His brother never wanted to help and is not a shooter.

I let my girls help too. Just make sure she is washing her hands good and not sticking her booger pickers in her mouth. Lead is a serious matter for the little ones, especially girls!

Re: Any reloaders get your kids involved in reloading?
Due to my 53 year old eyesight, my 7 year daughter does all my brass sorting by headstamp and caliber since I cant read them any longer without a magnifying glass or cheaters. She has a blast doing it, we have a rack of coffee cans labeled with headstamps/caliber, she knows by heart all the makes PMC, Starline Fed, Win ect...and can ID a casing a mile away at the range. she now runs my wet tumbler and pretty much does all my brass prep/sorting (no trimming yet) I pay her 1 cent per casing and she makes 5 or 6 bucks a week doing it.
when Im running plated bullets(no lead) in the Lee progressive she is my "automatic bullet feeder" her tiny hands are perfect for the task and she is the right height for the job.

Re: Any reloaders get your kids involved in reloading?
My 4 year old daughter likes to pull the lever, so I let her help when I'm either decapping, or sizing, or expanding. I don't let her help after that if there's live primers or powder involved. I plan to in a few years though.
