    Default renewing ltcf in Philly

My ltcf expires in early 2015 in Philly. This is my first time reapplying. Does philly issue your renewed ltcf in one day/visit or do they make you wait 1-2 months to process the renewal application?

I'll be going through the renewal process shortly too.
As Tmygun said you have to go through the whole process again. There is an updated application form that you can download here. As part of the recent settlement the city agreed to process ltcf applications within 45 calendar days. I guess we'll see about that...

Thanks for the replies. I really wish they passed that law that allows people to applu in surrounding counties. I'd apply in bucks so I could be in and out in 15 minutes. Hopefully this will be the last time I have to reapply in philly (I'll probably be residing in the suburbs then).

I have been waiting to renew mine as well because of the recent settlement. Do not forget, your LTCF is still good for 6 months after the expiration date as long as you are not a prohibited person.

They really are awful at the "gun permit unit" on Spring Garden street. I am convinced that that unit is staffed by Officers given a "desk job" for various reasons. The father of a guy I went to college with was about 70 years old and working there. He had one speed, city government slow!

I know it has been mention before but there is no renewing LTCF in Philadelphia. You must re-apply just like the first time with all the hassles you go thru when you first apply. Only now some the hassles are less. Renewing in Bucks and Montco is just that renewing. JMHO

An expired LTCF will not exempt you from the federal 1000' GFSZ. Act accordingly.
