Out of state buyers-FFL question
I will be handling an estate auction in a few weeks in which there will be firearms for bid...
I have to expect some out of state buyers.
I know I will be shipping handguns to the buyers choice of FFL in their state.
I also know NJ has an FPIC card for long guns which I can then run thru PICS.
My research does not show such a card for NY residents. Will PICS run a NY driver's license to allow them to take it with?Gallagher Guns LLC Gun Shop/NRA Certified Instructor -Swiftwater

Re: Out of state buyers-FFL question
Firearms must be NY legal. Long rifles are good to go through any PA FFL.

Re: Out of state buyers-FFL question
Last I recall - NYS residents done need a permit of any sort for long guns. NYC resident do.
Either NYS or NYC residents - the long gun must be legal in their respective jurisdiction. I'd refuse any NYC transfer because even most manually operated long guns are illegal if their capacity exceeds a rediculously low number like 5rds (or something like that). Even a Winchester 94 .30-30 is banned in NYC just as if it were an Assault Weapon.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

Re: Out of state buyers-FFL question
Understood.... so without that all encompassing list of "NY Legal" firearms- my best bet is to ship all firearms bought by NYS/NYC residents directly to their choice of FFL and let THEM sort it out-- yes?
My NJ buyers-- with FPIC are good to go thru PICS for long guns. Handguns will be shipped to their FFL.Gallagher Guns LLC Gun Shop/NRA Certified Instructor -Swiftwater

NJ buyers of longarms must also fill out a Certificate of Eligibility (SP-634).
