1911 that takedown like a Glock.
I like 1911, but hate the whole takedown. Does anyone know of a 1911 that takedown like a Glock? Also, not as important, but curious; a 1911 without a grip safety.
Thanks,
Nick.I will die, You will die, we all will die, just not today Patton, Battle of the Bulge.

Star Model A, B & Super B. Unfortunately they don't come in .45, just 9mm, 9mm Largo and .30 Luger. (pretty rare)
They made a similar model in .45, I think it was a "P" but it didn't have the takedown lever.

Just learn to take it down, dude (aka a field strip). Do it over and over and the parts will fit better so that it is easier (new 1911's are stiff in some cases and need some wiggling). You can also learn via Youtube to do a complete take down (aka a detail strip). All of it is elementary. I know it is because I can do it.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Re: 1911 that takedown like a Glock.
as for the grip safety, there is a grip safety bypass commercially available through vendors such as Wilson. i'm personally not a fan, ymmv
as far as the field strip issue. . I realize the 1911 involves a bit more work, but, our soldiers managed it, without tools, in how many wars?
a 1911 is a 1911. a glock isn't

Ummm, Yeah,
It's called a Glock 21!
LOL, Just poking fun at ya, Glocks are great guns, and 1911's are great, but they each have their own quirks.
sorry, I don't really have anything positive to help you.
