    Default Action Pistol Match

The next Action Pistol match is on 9/28/2014. I haven't gotten the details yet but when I do they will be posted here.
Those of you that have participated before should get an email from Pete the week prior for online registration. I strongly urge you to use it. It made things go a lot smoother last month.
You still need to stop at the clubhouse upon entry and pay. But all the paperwork will be done.
If you are a new shooter here show up a bit early to fill out some additional forms.
Personally I like to get there by 8:30 to help with final setup and such. But registration closes at 9:30 with the first shots at 10.
No word on a side match yet.

Here's the match info. Just got it in from Pete.

    Greetings,
On Sunday September 28, 2014 the Matamoras Gun Club will be holding their monthly Action Pistol Match.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED- see instructions below.
    Final set-up is at 8:30am
Sign in at the Club House opens at 9:00am
    Sign in CLOSES at 9:30am
    Safety briefing/walkthrough at 9:30am
First shots at 10:00am (club rule).
Match fee is $10.00, juniors under 18 shoot for free.
There will be 6 stages and 4 squads. Minimum round count is 75. Stages are attached for your review BUT may be changed due to weather and/or range conditions.
Refreshments will be available via an outside vendor (hot dog wagon) as took place last month. She is expected to arrive at 11:00am and start serving at 11:30am. She will remain at the club until approx 2:30 to 3 pm. Hot dogs, sausage, chips, soda and water are available.
IF we are finished at about 2pm, there will be a one stage 3 gun match taking place in the lower pistol and 200 yard ranges. There will be 12 shots pistol, 10 rounds shotgun (birdshot) and 10 rounds rifle. All round counts are minimum. The rifle challenge will be a 6 inch flash target at 125 yards, 8 inch flash target at 200 yards and a spinner at 100 yards. The rifle must be fired from 3 positions, standing, kneeling and prone. Spinner from any position. Match fee will be $3.00.

    PRE REGISTRATION instructions:

    1. Click on link or enter it in your browser box. www.idpamatchsignup.com
    2. A new screen will appear listing several available matches to sign up for.
Look by date: 28 September 2014
then by club; Matamoras Action Pistol
then by location: Matamoras Gun Club
Once you have identified the proper match, click the "Signup button" on the right.
    3. On top of the new screen will be a listing of the squads and who the squad leaders are.
Decide on your 1st and 2nd choice (in case the first choice is full) then:
USE THE MEMBER SIGNUP box on the left side. DO NOT USE THE NON MEMBER BOX ON THE RIGHT SIDE. (if you do - you will be put on a wait list and NOT be able to pick a squad.)
Where it asks for an IDPA# enter the following:
Put the letter "M" as in Matamoras IMMEDIATELY followed by five numbers picked by you. IF YOU SIGNED UP LAST MONTH PLEASE USE THE SAME NUMBER AGAIN as all your information will have been saved!
    (example: M12345 )
If you have an IDPA# you may use that if you want, either way will work.
    then click signup
    4. On the new screen, select your squad by clicking "Choose" under the squad you want - The names of those already on all squads will be listed.
    5. On the new screen
If you used the number from last month, your name, division and class are already listed. You may need to make a change in division if you are shooting a gun in this match that fits a different division.
If the number is already in use by someone else a name will appear. If that happens, you have to go back to step 3 and enter another number until the name area here is blank.
once the name area is blank:
    Enter your First name
    then Last name
    then click on your Division
    then click on your Classification
IF you are in a sub category, click the subcategory field and a selection will pop up:
    Subcategories are: Junior (under18)
    Lady
    Senior (age 55 thru 64)
    Super Senior (age 65 thru???)
    Law Enforcement (Active only)
Click on the appropriate sub category, IF ANY
    Then click SAVE
    New screen, then click FINISH
    Now you are done.
REMEMBER YOUR REGISTRATION NUMBER USED IN THE IDPA# box. When you have to sign up for your next match, you enter that very same number again. That is YOUR UNIQUE registration number for this and all future matches.
If you have a problem, e-mail me.
    See you there,
    Peter

    Stop sitting on it....

    Boy scores are in ....
Have not had any range time since about the middle of last action pistol season (a little over a year ago). Had removed the rear sight on the M&P, did not get a chance to see how far it was off. Ran to Wal-fart after breakfast to get some Winchester white box for the match. Figured give it a go, no range time, sights off and some cheap ammo.
I hear AirportFF hits the range at least once or more a week to practice.....And I scored better then you!!!!! Captain "P" in the first 5 seconds of the first stage of the day...Good ol George Carlin comes to mind here..... Airport you shoot like old people Fu#*, SLOW and SLOPPY...
I'm sure the youngster at the range will give you some lessons....hahahha

I'll take my 6 points down versus your 42 any day. Especially on a a total round count of 75 minimum.
