    Default scope recommendation needed

Remington 700 sps varmint .308. I need a scope, preferably a mildot, and I have 325.00 to spend.

Why do you think you need MD? It's more important that your scope uses the same adjustments in the reticle and knobs, so make sure whatever optic you choose it's going to be MOA/MOA or MIL/MIL.

At that price point you are looking at SWFA SS straight powered optics. I'm a fan of the 12x as it's not too much power, but enough power to get the job done. I'd avoid the 16x and 20x unless you find them used for around $250.

The SWFA quad reticle is an improved "MD" as it uses hash marks.

Weaver also has a "tactical" 3-10 MIL at your price point. The Weaver optic has the traditional MD which I'm not a fan of as I feel the traditional MD blocks the target.

This is the second or third thread that I'm going to recommend the SWFA SS series of scopes. The original military contract scope was a straight 10X with rear parallax adjustment. This is the one I purchased and it is the best scope I have ever owned. The price is ridiculously low for the value of the scope. Its built like a tank, tracks very reliably, and the glass is surprisingly clear. SWFA has great customer service and backs up their products.

Bushnell also makes a similar scope that I have no experience with. Probably a decent scope?
