Default More about anti-gun-rights Wolf & Delaware.....

I think we all understand that Wolf would be the last link in the plot to destroy Pennsylvania gun rights, or at least block every pro-gun initiative.

Can we trust him on gun issues? After all, he said that he supports the rights of hunters, that those gun rights are important to him. Would he lie about something important?

    Maybe.

For example, I keep seeing the ads from Corbett saying that Wolf's company moved to Delaware to save money on taxes. Then I see Wolf's ads saying "no, it's headquartered and pays taxes in Pennsylvania." Those are not inconsistent statements, they can both be true. You can have your physical headquarters in PA, pay some taxes in PA, and still benefit from the Delaware tax-savings loophole by paying less in taxes than you would otherwise.

Wolf promised that he'd be transparent, that he would provide any and all documents that anybody asked for. So he was asked for the tax documents for his company, so we could all see if he's taken advantage of the Delaware loophole (the one that he's repeatedly criticized, BTW). He then said "I've been transparent enough", and refused. Almost as though the tax records would support his opponent.

Wolf is claiming that he's just a part-owner, that other people made the decision to move the corporate charter to Delaware, that he's just a cog in the machine. Which is weird, because his ads bragging about how HE shares the company profits with the employees never mentioned all those other people who seem to make the real decisions.

Maybe Wakefield can give him a call and get this all straightened out. I hear they're buds.

I am sick of politicians running ads on each other talking about personal/business/past history instead of actual core policy issues. In some cases this stuff is relevant, but in most cases including this one, its not.

By my understanding both Corbett and Wolf are pretty middle of the road regarding personal baggage. Nothing truly scandalous to be found with either one.
So Wolf may or may not have moved part or all of his business to Delaware? Who cares.

Lets have an election based on the issues for once. As in free market vs socialism, abortion vs right to life, 2A, or whatever the defining core issues of each platform are. If The biggest reason Corbett can think of why I should vote for him is because his oponent found a tax trick in Delaware, then I will sit this one out.

Of course, I know the real issues and I will not sit it out, but if I got my information from ads I would say Corbett has no idea why I should vote for him. Nor has he given me a good reason not to vote for Wolf even thougg I know there are legions of good reasons.

A politician who stuck to a few issues core to his campaign would be a welcome sight. Insread they nitpicl each other on sideshows.

A politician who will lie about what he's done, will lie about what he's going to do.

Wolf claims to support the 2nd Amendment, but his statements of support are weak, and already limited to "hunting guns", not defensive guns. If he sounds like an anti while he's lying and trying to reassure us, just how bad would he be for gun owners, if even his lies about guns already make him look like an anti?

For sure, I totally agree, but I think Corbett would be better served by focusing on the real issues and philosophical differences between the two.

I know Tom Wolf is a slimy democrat (pardon the redundance) and I am sure he is lying about his support for the 2A just as I am sure he is lying about his business in Delaware and most anything else. But I would rather vote for Tom Corbett because Corbett believes in capitalism and liberty, not because of where Tom Wolf's headquarters happen to be.

I found this little gem in another thread recently. I wonder how much this guy is being paid to shill and spread this bullshit. I've called him on it and asked for 2A-related specifics, of course I've received no response yet...

While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

I saw that and thought that's way too pitiful to even say something about. I think my good friends over at the Marines would call that d-baggery. Is that a word?
